Annapurna Circuit Trek Information:

Annapurna circuit trek is one of the renowned trek after it was open to trekkers in 1977. Because of its breath-taking views, outstanding routes combined with green valleys and villages with cordial people with historical context as well as snow-capped mountains around.

The Annapurna circuit trek that starts from 1000m, is a three-week trek that takes us to habitat where will get chance to explore the deep rooted Himalayas from bottom to the top. We can have that opportunity to know about the real Himalayas from different viewpoints and approaches. The trek initiates from Syange and follows with Marshyangdi River, with chance to enjoy the spectacular views of sparkling white peak of Manaslu and Himal Chuli.

This is a bravura trek that takes you to the adequate village, where you will find the diversified people living from different ethnic groups. You will bathe within the magnificent views of the white capped Himalayas. Thorong La Pass is the highest point of this trek, which lies within 5,416 m.

As this is difficult trek where we find more passing while crossing the Pass. Because of its complication we find it much hard to travel as there is longer ascending and t short descending so to complete its in one day is very difficult for many people.

This trek takes us to Muktinath as we descend to west from the Pass, and our trek follows thought the Kali Gandaki, that passes through mighty Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain as it is considered to be one of the biggest gorges too. We move ahead to Tatopani springs for hot springs bathe after crossing the Thorong La Pass from Manang to Muktinath. And from there we hike to Poon Hill before descending back to Pokhara.

Annapurna Circuit Trekking FAQs

01How my Character needs to be, is this trek for me?

• Annapurna base camp trek suits for people who are fit, no need to be experienced. It will be good if you are concerned on your physical fitness like running, swimming, hiking. We in fact recommend to embark these exercises for your journey.
• If you are suffering from kind of any medical condition, we suggest you to seek medical advice from your doctors before coming to trek.
• Trekking is not an easy task, so you need to be aware regarding the discomfort before being adapted in the regions.
• It is better you prepare for trekking for at least 2/3 months before you depart, an aerobic exercise would be pretty much good and needs to follow 3/4 times per week as a minimum requirement.

02What is the procedure of airport pickup, will someone come there for me on my arrival?

• The procedure of airport pickup is that we will send one of our representative to pick you up. He will stand there holding the sign of Trailblazer Tours and Treks outside the terminal, he will greet you and transfer you to your respected hotel in our private vehicle.

03How can I get visa for Nepal? Is it upon on arrival at the airport?

• Yes, the visa is on arrival and it is easy to get at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu. And the visa differs accordingly on the basis of your stay in Nepal. The more you stay you need to pay more, but you will get Tourist Visa with Multiple Entries. As US $ 25 for 15 days, and for 30 days you need to pay

04Do I need any extra documents?

• It’s hassle free, as you just need to bring a copy of your travel insurance, your passport with 3 (passport sizes) photos while coming for trip to Nepal. The photos are needed for permits.

05What kind of facilities will be there in Kathmandu, Pokhara and within Trekking?

• Our motto is to give perfect service to our customers, for that reason we do not compromise with the standard. We will transfer you to standard rooms at three-star hotels in Kathmandu and Pokhara as per our commitment.
• We are much concerned with the health of our customers, so during the trek along teahouses, guesthouses we provide clean rooms, with basic facilities.
• We can also provide our own sleeping bags but it is the best idea to have your own during trekking.
• The lodges within the treks normally provides single and double room. If possible, there will be dining around a bon fire. The toilet in teahouses are full with crucial and basic facilities.

06As the weather is cold, do guesthouses heated or have air-conditioning facilities?

• As the weather is cold but the guest houses do not facilitate with air-conditioners or heaters. However, when it gets colder above 3500m, they have the minimal facility to hit the dining room by using kerosene or metal heater. To use this facility, you have to spend some dollars.

07Can I please know about the toilet facilities along the trail?

There are toilet facilities in teahouse/guesthouse but apart from that while on trek and in emergency case you find some secluded place and go for toilet.

08I have heard about foods not being that hygienic, can you please clarify this? What kind of food can we expect during our journey?

• Yes, there is rumor but it is better to visit and experience on your own. We are much concerned with the hygiene and the cook in most teahouses/lodges in Annapurna Base Camp trail are experienced in cooking a delicious range of food items.
• You can enjoy the varieties of food ranging from pasta, potatoes, lentils, soups, fresh vegetables, eggs and many more. They will even serve you tasty dessert. There will the non-vegetarian items too, you even enjoy with chocolates, hot drinks, soft drinks, and chips.

09How is the drinking water facility in the trekking zones?

• There isn’t any problem for bottled water as it is easily available at guesthouse and lodges. But Yesh above Chhomorng you need to take purified water as plastic bottles are banned by Annapurna conservation area.
• If you have plan to drink normal water you must bring some kind of purifying drops or any kind of purifier with you.

Annapurna Circuit Trek Itinerary

Day 01Arrival in Kathmandu

Enjoying the flight, you will reach to Kathmandu where one of our representative from Trailblazer will pick you up and transfer to your respected hotel. You may take rest or visit our office at Trailblazer Tours and Treks. There will be a special evening dinner hosted by our Trailblazer Tours and Treks with the authentic mouth-watering Nepalese cuisine. Night stay in Kathmandu.

Day 02Drive to Beshisahar: (178km) 6hrs.

We will drive to Beshishahar which is approximately 178 Km, enjoy watching the hills and the greenery views. Travelling along the mighty rivers of Nepal, Trishuli and Marshyangdi, watching the surf and listening the sound will definitely lead you awe-struck. You can see people rafting within rivers. This too will be a soothing experience.

Day 03Trek to Tal (1,700 m) – 5 hours

It is now time to tight your shoes laces. Our journey will start moving steadily enjoying the scenic backdrop of the following beautiful Marsyangdi River. We will slightly ascend and come across the scintillating waterfalls within the within our journey. Overnight stay at Tal.

Day 04Trek to Danaque (1,860 m) – 5 hours

Today our trekking will be much exciting as we will leave Marsyangdi River behind and continue our journey to embrace the Annapurna II and Pisang Peak. We will even have a breath-taking backdrop of landscape and age-old villages. You are here to enjoy every moment so don’t waste the chance to capture stunning pictures of mountains, high falling waterfalls and country life of Nepal. Our overnight is at the guesthouse at Wanaque.

Day 05Trek to Chame (2,670 m) – 4 hours

It’s morning, we will carry our path relishing the beautiful image of glittering mountains, and waterfalls. It is a stress-free day for us, as walking for 4 hours we halt our footsteps at Chame., the headquarter of Manang. Here you can enjoy having with good facilities within guesthouse within the tiny lovely town. Night stay at a guesthouse.

Day 06Trek to Upper Pisang (3,300 m) – 6 hours

Early morning after breakfast, we continue our trail ascending to Upper Pisang. Going ahead along the way through the heavy dense forest, Marsyangdi river, and encounter with sparkling views of the panoramic mountains and fields. We will bump with the view of gargantuan Paungda Dada rock face, as is curved in a bowl shape. Finally, walking for 6 hours we touch the Upper Pisang from where we perceive the Grandiose Annapurna II footing great. Our night stays at guesthouse today.

Day 07Trekking to Ngawal (3,660 m) – 5 hrs

Good morning! with beautiful sunrise, and first kiss of ray on Annapurna II, we continue our trekking to Ngawal right after the breakfast. Here you will get an opportunity to witness the never before seen flora and fauna, the gorges, Pisang Peak, and Annapurna I, II. We will have break in Ngawal, Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 08Trekking to Manang (3,500 m) – 6 hrs

Our trek continues walking through dense jungle, giant hills and swamplands. Within the way, we will pause to capture the enthralling views of the landscapes, stupas and more. The beautiful journey will even – overtake us to recall the walking hours we spent. As after walking 6 hours we reach to Manang, the trending place of trekking. Night stay here at guesthouse.

Day 09Adaptation Day at Manang Village

Today we will stay for a day in Manang to acclimatize ourselves. Our task is to adapt with the altitude for now and upcoming trail for that we go for walk and some sightseeing nearby village. We will go for site visit of monastery and the breath-taking view of Gangapurna Glacier Lake. We will stay here at night after we enliven the moment throughout day time.

Day 10Trek to Yak Kharka (4,000 m) – 5 hours

Today we are refreshed, energized and motivated to trek to Yak Kharka lying at 500m. As we had rest and acclimatize ourselves with the scenario. We ascend gradually through Tenki Manang, passing the Marsyangdi Valley. Filled with passion to walk, we continue walking along the Jarsang Khola Valley, our foot cease at Yak Kharka standing at 4,000 m. Overnight stay at guesthouse.

Day 11Trek to Thorong Phedi (4,450 m) – 5 hours

Ascending for two hours, our trail descends, crossing the river lying at 4,310 m. From there we then ascent high to Thorong Phedi holding at 4,450 m, here we have worthy guesthouses, with decent infrastructure and the facilities. Night stay at guesthouses.

Day 12Trekking to Muktinath (3,800 m) via Thorung La Pass (5,416 m) – 8 hours

Right after getting up early morning at 4 am we start our long, hectic and daunting trek and reach the pass by 9-10 am morning.
As you must be inquisitive regarding our early morning trek before sunrise. The reason behind this is the strong winds that will affect our journey at Throng La Pass. We trek precipitously on a consistent path which is much easier to follow. But walking in the mountainous region isn’t that easier as its always unpredictable, we can face problems because of heavy snow and even altitude too. Walking and climbing for hours on the pass takes us to encounter with the colored praying flags, its enthralls us with beauty as we stand ourselves on the top of the pass.
– Walking for more hours takes us to the Muktinath village, place renowned for nirvana and is home to the Muktinath Temple and many monasteries. Night stay at Muktinath.

Day 13Trekking to Marpha (2,670 m) via Lubra Pass (4,020 m) – 8 hours

We are now at other side of Thorong La Pass; we now see mostly the barren land just like the desert.
Carry on your trek walking by the bank of Kali Gandaki River.
Here, we will go downhill and have near and clear views of age old stupas and traditional houses, along with the civilization of Mustang. Marpha is renowned for its apple orchard. Here you have chance to enjoy the taste of the well-known apples going into the orchard oneself. You can even have apple pies and traditional home-made apple wine. As Mustang is famous for apples if you are lucky enough you will get the chance to enjoy the Apple Brandy which is again a home-made within en-route.
Night stay at the cosy guesthouse.

Day 14Trekking to Kalopani (2,530 m) – 7 hours

Our trekking begins by going down through the valley along the Kali Gandaki river.On the way, you can enjoy with the breath-taking view of Annapurna I and mesmerising backdrops around. Night Stay at comfortable guesthouse.

Day 15Trekking to Tatopani (1,190 m) – 6 hours

Our journey still goes down along the Kali Gandaki River Valley. As the trail continues we will encounter, the Kopchepani. As the name resembles, Tatopani is well-known for the hot springs. Here you can relax having shower within the hot springs. This is best place to enliven after the long adventurous trek and to enjoy the visual of the place we rest another day over here. Overnight here in comfortable guesthouse.

Day 16Rest Day at Tatopani

– Today is the rest day at Tatopani, we are here to enjoy the place to the fullest.
– Natural Hot springs shower isn’t a day to day task, so just don’t miss the opportunity, jump without any contention.
– Have a great day with delicious local food and drinks.
– Enjoy the night stay at convenient guesthouse.

Day 17Trek to Ghorepani (2,810 m) – 6 hours

Today you will have to walk for long, it’s in fact another huge day for us. As it is a long distance and we have to spent at least 7 hours from Tatopani to Ghorepani. It’s a breath-taking panoramic view where you will see Himchuli, Annapurna South, and beautiful Tukuche Himal. You will get chance to see and engross within Magar villages as well on the way. Night stay will be at cosy guesthouse.

Day 18Early morning Hike to Poon Hill and Trekking to Tikhedunga (1,570 m) – 5 hours

Our trekking starts early morning, where we hike to Poon Hill elevated to 3,210m, encompass us within its mesmerising beauty. You will get a chance to see unhindered beautiful backdrop of early sunrise over the Himalayas. We will spend some memorable moment over here. Our journey goes back to Ghorepani and enjoys the hot breakfast. From here our trek descends to Tikhedhunga, while descending, we walk along the ridges and enjoying the rhododendron forest and finally reaches to Tikhedhunga. Overnight stay at guesthouse.

Day 19Trek to Nayapul (1,010 m) and then Drive to Pokhara – 4 hours

We are finally here at Nayapul after pleasant trekking. From here we are back to Pokhara within an hour drive. Overnight stay at guesthouse.

Day 20Guided Sightseeing in Pokhara

Today is the day to have full day sightseeing of city of lakes Pokhara. We will guide you through the city with our private vehicle. As Pokhara is a beautiful city, there are many places to hang around. Some of the places that we guide you through are: Bindhabasini Temple, Davis Fall (Patalo Chhango), Gupteshwor Cave, Seti River Gorges, Tibetan Refugee Camps, and World Peace Pagoda. Overnight stay at nice lakeside hotel.

Day 21Back to Kathmandu (1,400 m) in a Tourist Bus – 7 hours

Today we will start our journey back to Kathmandu early in the morning. It is minimum 7 hours’ drive to Kathmandu. After reaching at Kathmandu, you can go for souvenirs shopping too. We will have a traditional Nepalese dinner with some cultural dances in the evening and it will be a farewell dinner too.

Day 22Final Departure

– Our journey comes to an end here. One of our representative will takes you back to Tribhuwan International airport.
– We wish for your safe and nice flight with lots of memories of an adventurous journey here at Nepal.
